  • This is the key message in a draft climate change position jointly promoted by ICFPA, the global forest industry association, and IFFA, the global forest owners’ association. The negotiating parties at the climate summit COP 15 in Copenhagen in December 2009 must take action to implement these recommendations from the scientists’ advice to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The joint position of the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations, ICFPA, and the International Family Forestry Alliance, IFFA, has been drafted by the European organisations and is now for comments in the Boards of the global associations. Members are invited to comment the draft.
