EFI 20 Years Conference

    The European Forest Institute (EFI) celebrates its 20 year anniversary by a conference in France.

    The EFI 20 Years Science and Policy Forum will be held in Nancy, France, on 23-27 September 2013. The event stretches for the whole week with various side-events taking place before and after the main conference on Wednesday 25 September. The high-level conference: ‘Our forests in the 21st century – ready for risks and opportunities?’ on 25 September will be held with keynote speakers such as Dr Eduardo Rojas-Briales, Assistant Director-General for FAO Forestry, Dr Janez Poto─Źnik, European Commissioner for the Environment, Mr Kriton Arsenis, Member of the European Parliament, Ms. Jan McAlpine, Director of the United Nations Forum on Forests.

    Smallholders contribute to sustainable development

    IFFA celebrates the International Day of Forest 21 March 2017 by underlining that that 2017 is the first year for implementing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development the Paris climate accord. The contribution of small holders cannot be underestimated.

    IUCN web published Asia conference

    The IUCN web site has published a web story in the IFFA Asia Forest Producer Conference. The conference was supported by the Forest and Farm Facility partners IUCN, IIED and FAO.
