The World Forestry Congress 2015

    The next World Forestry Congress will take place in 2015 in Durban, South Africa. The event will be the 14th World Forestry Congress. The first was held in Rome in 1926 and the most recent was organised in Argentina in 2009.

    The World Forestry Congress will be organised by The Food and Agriculture Organisation of UN (FAO) and The Government of South Africa. Ms Tiina Vähänen from Finland is appointed Associate Secretary General for the Congress.

    Peter deMarsh air Flight victim

    On Sunday the 9 of Marsh 2019 died in the crash of an air flight between Addis Abeba and Nairobi on his way to an IFFA conference on Family Forestry and Climate Change.

     

    Peter deMarsh was President of the International Family Forest Alliance IFFA, since 2011.
