"Value we see in trees: innovation and the exchange of ideas” is the title of the IUCN web story. Part of the web story is sharing the information from the field trip where the Tree Bank in Thailand shared their experience and their innovation.

The conference and information exchange event was organised by the International Family Forestry Alliance (IFFA), the Asian Farmers Association for sustainable rural development (AFA), and was hosted by RECOFTC - The Center for People and Forests. The event took place with support of the Forest & Farm Facility (FFF). Hosted at FAO, the FFF is a global partnership between FAO, IIED, IUCN, and AgriCord that aims to promote sustainable forest and farm management by supporting local, national, regional and international forest and farm producer organisations for improved livelihoods and decision-making over forest and farm landscapes.

    Family Forestry Faces Project

Family forestry is not only the forest, but the people who lives in and lives of the forestry as well.

Behind every forest there is families and faces. IFFA will expose some of the faces in family forestry, community forestry and among indigenous peoples in order for others to better understand the vital combination of forest and peoples in and of the forest.
