New Board members
Satu-Marja Tenhiälä, Finland, and Johannes Kyrle, Austria, was elected new members of the IFFA Board at the annual meeting in January 2017.
Juha Hakkarainen, Finland, stepped out of the Board and the rest of the Board was re-elected. The annual meeting follow the proposal from the Nomination Committee.

Satu-Marja Tenhiälä is forestry adviser and works on international affairs at MTK, the Finnish Forest and Farm organisation. She has a Master’s degree in history and communication from the University of Joensuu, a Master of science degree in forest products marketing and economics from University of Helsinki and a bachelor’s degree in law from Abo Akademi University. She has been law editor at the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce, executive director at the Foundation of Psychiatric Research in Helsinki, communications officer at the National institute for health and welfare and communication specialist at the M-real forest industry group.

Johannes Kyrle is vice-president of “Land & Forest Betribe Österreich”, the Austrian Forest Owners’ Federation and been president of the organisation. He is Doctor of Law and has been Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, head of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign affairs. He has a long carrier in the Austrian Diplomatic Service and served as secretary general and head of the cabinet of the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to the Principality of Lichtenstein and Chief of Protocol.
