Forest owners’ organisations and the economic cooperation among family and community foresters are of vital importance for sustainable forest management, IFFA and GACF writes in a position paper to UNFF 8.
These statements are parts of a joint discussion paper that the International Family Forestry Alliance, IFFA, together with the Global Alliance of Community Forestry, GACF, has submitted to the 8 session of the United Nations Forum on Forest.
UNFF 8 will be arranged from 20 April to 1 May 2009 in New York, USA. IFFA and GACF are part of the major groups that will take part in the multi stakeholder dialogue during the UNFF 8 session.
